Mural Project
30 June 2022

According to the newspaper, the Roseland area of Santa Rosa is the scene of the Mural Project, which is painting walls all over that part of town with bright new colors. Each mural has its own artist or team of artists. Naturally, I had to saddle up and pedal across town to have a look.

Starting down the street. Very colorful!

Across the street. Like many of the murals, still in progress.

The old cement plant. Note the lift vehicle (with attached umbrella) used by the artist to reach his canvas.

High above the street.

Not sure this is a new one, but I like it.

A closer view.

I call this one Cassidy vs Donnie.

Check those eyes!

And pay attention to her crown/tiara/hat.

"Live and enjoy."

This on the wall of the Peruvian restaurant where I'm supposed to take my ace support crew.

This gives a whole new meaning to "blue hair."

There's one of the artists, hard at work, still trying to finish her mural.

It's a big one!

Front. Part of one of three walls around which this mural wraps.

The artist (see photo above) is a little off to the left.

One side.

The other side.

Pretty impressive.

Addendum.

A few days later, it looks like Amandalynn has finished the front wall.

While pedaling home, I heard a voice call from the other side of the street, "Hey, Bill!"

Must be a small town. It was Jeff, pedaling home after visiting his parents. We had a long chat on the side of the street.
