St Francis, February 2018
Yellow and wine: A Photographic Log
26 February 2018, 8 miles

My ace support crew needed to drive out to St Francis Winery in order to pick up her wine club allotment today. I decided to pedal out to Kenwood, then meet her at the winery for a sip or two.

I didn't quite get into Kenwood before I was distracted by a big yellow field. For some reason the camera jumped out of my trunk bag and into my hands. By the time I ran out of film, I needed to skedaddle up the road to St Francis to meet my cute little oenophiliac.

While we were hanging at St Francis, the sky unexpectedly darkened and commenced a barrage of hail and rain. Fortunately, I was able to slide the Ogre in the back of the car for a quick, dry lift home. It's nice to have an ace support crew.

Yellow.

More yellow.

Yellow again.

Hood Mountain and Gunsight Rock in the background. Both burned bare in October fires.

Saturated yellow.

Yellow everywhere.

St Francis Winery. Waiting for my ace support crew.

Another view of burned off Hood Mountain and Gunsight Rock.

Sky seems to be getting darker.

There's my ace support crew now, pulling up at St Francis Winery in her Ogre-sized SUV.

Look at all those bottles. My ace support crew charms her way through an extended tasting.

Is "oenophiliac" a word?
